Athena Stationery & Cafe

Named after my dog and the goddess of craft (among many other, more well-known things), Athena Stationery & Cafe opened in late May, 2026. After moving to Winston-Salem, NC from Lawrence, KS and finding a surprising lack of stationery options, I decided to open a stationery store myself. I aim to foster a sense of community among our city of arts and innovation and provide a gathering space for creatives of all kinds. Since becoming a letter keeper a week after the opening, our customers have spent many hours on Sundays stopping in to check for new letters to respond to and writing introductory letters of their own. I love seeing the letter count grow!
