Welcome to The Curious Turtle—a little shop with a big heart, nestled in downtown Jefferson City. This cozy space grew out of my own family’s love for storytelling, imagination, and gathering around a good book. As a mom of two, I’ve spent countless hours reading bedtime favorites, getting lost in library aisles, and searching for toys and games that spark curiosity without adding clutter or noise.

I created The Curious Turtle to be the kind of store I loved to go to as a child—a place full of thoughtfully chosen books, well-made toys, and space to play.

Why Being a Letter Keeper Makes Sense for Us
Our shop is a deliberate step back into the screen-free time of life, and becoming a Letter Keeper fits perfectly with that mission. Putting pen to paper offers all of us a quiet, tactile way to express ourselves. We are so excited to connect people with others looking for creativity and mindfulness away from digital distractions, bringing back the lost, beautiful art of writing and receiving mail.
