Lokaal 23
Lokaal23 is both a modern community centre and a creative centre fully run by volunteers in a small historical town in the south of the Netherlands. It has existed for nearly 2 years now.
We are open for a drink in the afternoons. In the morning and evening there are all sorts of courses and workshops, like creative writing, philosophy, painting, calligraphy, a repair cafe and many more. On Sunday afternoons we sometimes have cabaret or live musical performances. Every 6 weeks an artist opens his/her exposition in our place, which really brightens up the room! Community members can propose new workshops and activities that are then facilitated by the executive board.
Starting from November 1st, Lokaal23 will organise monthly Sunday letter writing events for the Sunday Letter Project! The mission of Lokaal23 is to connect people in and around this community. The Sunday Letter Project will be a wonderful enrichment here!
