"Ratty Books is an independent children's books and bits shop located on Main Street in charming Jeffersonville, New York. We specialize in a curated selection of illustrated picture books and classic children's literature, and we have been gradually expanding to include graphic novels and books for all ages.

Named after a beloved character in the classic children's novel “The Wind in the Willows” by Kenneth Grahame, Ratty Books is inspired by the rolling hills, creeks, and rivers of the Western Catskills.

Our name is a daily reminder of the interplay between outdoor beauty and inner imagination that has been the foundation of children's literature for centuries."
