Sleepy Dog Books was formed from the passion of two career educators to serve the community we call home, the place where we are raising our children, and the culture we want to support through literary offerings, community programs, and local events. A shared passion for literacy led to the formation of the idea that would become Sleepy Dog Books. A simple idea with endless possibilities, formed as a touchpoint for a community and as a catalyst for passion, thinking, and the collective good. Sleepy Dog Books was founded on the ideals of a family and community business and we will strive to serve every reader who enters our doors. Sleepy Dog Books’ mission is to provide a high-quality retail experience for customers and readers of any age. We seek to provide a comfortable atmosphere for our customers that promotes browsing, relaxation, and community engagement.
