The Book Nook

Kirkby Stephen is a lovely market town on the A685 in the Eden valley and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is on the Coast to Coast route and is the perfect stopping place for people heading to/from the east coast and the Lake District. I opened my book shop in September 2025 after returning to the UK from the United States where I had been an innkeeper in Kennebunkport , Maine. Books, and talking about books, are my passion, so when the local book shop closed shortly after I moved to town it was the perfect opportunity for me. - Eileen
