Kemps was founded by Liz Kemp, a shopkeeper’s daughter who wanted to honour her roots by opening a bookshop and gift emporium that prides itself on excellent customer service and reliability. Kemps is a treasure trove of the beautiful and unusual, inviting people to browse and lose themselves in fascination and delight. Kemps On the Corner is located in the small market town of Wetherby and is a sister shop to the original Kemp’s store in Malton, North Yorkshire. Both shops stand as a testament to tradition and the old ways of doing things; small oases that reflect a slower, calmer way of life.
