Books at the Dragon’s Garden,
9 High Street, Llandovery,
Carmarthenshire, Wales SA20 0PU.
Books at the Dragon's Garden is an independent bookshop in beautiful Llandovery, an ancient market town and the gateway to Bannau Brycheiniog and the Cambrian Mountains.
The bookshop has always centred around my passions and ethics, thus we are well known for our carefully curated collection of books about nature, environmental issues, politics, history, folklore and landscape. We also stock the best of contemporary fiction, classics and an inspiring children's section.
We run the Reading the Wild Literature Festival which takes place in May every year.
I've had a long association with the Fair Trade movement so we also stock journals, gifts, clothes and accessories that are sourced from certified Fair Trade suppliers
The bookshop is a safe, inviting and colourful space, where everyone is given a warm welcome, conversations about books and much more take place and strangers become friends, we're delighted to be able to play a small part in the Sunday Letter Project, slowing down and making meaningful connections in a world which has become so pressured.

c/o Communitea Coffee
1015 E Imperial Hwy, C1
Brea CA 92821
Ink & Ether is a fantasy pop-up bookshop that's a little bit magical, a little bit rebellious, and possibly held together by tarot cards and sheer will. We pop up at markets and fairs around the community, selling fantasy and speculative fiction by women, BIPOC, and indie authors, alongside tarot, oracle, and books for the spiritually curious. If you've ever wanted a book that finds you exactly when you need it, that's kind of our whole thing.
As a pop-up, we don't have a storefront of our own so our good friends at Communitea Coffee have let us use their shop as our home base. Name me a better duo than coffee and books. Together we're bringing analog back.

“Are you like me? Do you never read an email until the end, but keep every letter and card that was ever sent to you? Do you consider paper and pen the best medium ever? Well, writing letters to someone and then getting a honest, well thought of answer in return it's a marvel. Why would you write to Molly's in Melrose? Well, because this community is full of artists, writers, families, and nature lovers. I can tell you that my favorite time in the world is my time at the store. Being able to listen to people's stories, to get to know them. Where they have been, what they have done. And now they will share that with you. Melrose people are some of the most accomplished people in the world. And they are generous. They are generous with their time, with their whole selves. And they are here to listen to you and share a bit of themselves. On a letter. I can't think of a better way. And you can keep them. And if you want you can be friends. Or keep it casual. This is such an incredible idea that I CAN'T EVEN! Do write to us. We are looking forward to meeting you!”

Almonte, ON

We think our community will be very keen to embark on this journey with us, as our customers are very passionate about supporting our initiatives to bring people together, whether through our two book clubs or our literary events featuring Canadian authors.
Almonte is known as the hometown of James Naismith (Inventor of Basketball), and as the setting of numerous feel- good "Hallmark" movies, particularly those with a Christmas Romance theme. The bookstore has been here for 29 years, and I am the third owner. I experienced my own "Hallmark" moment during the pandemic, when I quit my Engineering career in Montreal, to move to this charming small town to buy this bookstore. and be warmly welcomed by this wonderful community.

United States of America
Johnson’s Literary Depot is an independent bookstore on Main Street in downtown Johnson City, Tennessee, tucked in the heart of the Appalachian Highlands. We opened with a simple belief, a bookstore should be a gathering place, a depot of people, ideas, and community. Between author events, book clubs, and sessions in the stacks (a monthly music night featuring local artists), we’ve watched our shop become a spot where neighbors and travelers alike slow down and connect. Our resident shop dogs, Winnie & Daisy are local celebrities often the first ones to greet customers when they come in the door. We’re also proud of our Kids Read for Free program, which puts children’s books into the hands of kids through age 12, because a love of reading and learning starts early and should follow the child’s lead. Whether you leave with a new book, a wagging welcome from Winnie & Daisy, a letter from a pen pal, or just a good conversation, we hope you’ll always feel at home here.

The Book Pile
The Book Pile
“Nestled in the quaint downtown area of an apple farming community, we are a thoughtfully curated used bookstore with recently-published popular books in all genres. We also carry a small selection of new, trending titles. We host monthly bookish craft events and book clubs for community involvement. Our visitors will find Blind Date with a Book items, book marks, and other items for book lovers.
In the spring and fall, the rolling hills of apple orchards are stunning to view as you take a leisurely drive. Our town has a coffee shop, a few boutiques, and some delicious restaurants within walking distance we will point you to!
We are delving into the world of stationery, greeting cards, notecards, pens, journals, etc, which makes my heart even happier than it already is.
Feeling the nudge to slow down, we value the “analog” lifestyle so we don’t post like crazy on socials. We’d rather talk to you in-person than doing a Facebook live any day! In that vein, we are a Letter Keeper location for The Sunday Letter Project and so excited to meet our letter-writing friends and witness them finding a pen pal. I will always prefer selling the old-school way building relationships with our friends (customers) over online selling!”
